You can also follow the game to Steam to get further news on the alpha when it's available. As of yet, a start date has not been specified.
Developer Boss Key has also released an action-packed new gameplay trailer for LawBreakers, which you can see above. Fans of the classic arena-based titles such as Unreal Tournament or Quake will no doubt enjoy seeing the fast-and-furious style of combat of those games being represented here.
The action gets quite hectic, with players leaping around and firing rockets, tethering themselves to flying enemies and reeling themselves in to deal damage, and even recovering from what looks like certain death to turn the tides on their attackers.
When LawBreakers was first announced, Bleszinski discussed the decision to adopt a free-to-play business model for LawBreakers, citing the low barrier to entry it allowed as a key factor. However, in March it was revealed that the game will no longer be free-to-play.
LawBreakers will now be released as a "digital premium title". At launch, it will be available exclusively on Valve's Steam platform. Although a price for the title hasn't been released, Bleszinski said it "will not have the $60 price point of a traditional product."
"As the game continued to take shape, we realized free-to-play wasn't the right fit for what we're building," he said. "LawBreakers is a competitive game at heart and that means balance is a big priority to me, my team, and our community."
He added: "Using a digital premium model helps ensure an even playing field by giving fans access to every available role without any barriers."
Lawbreakers is currently set for a PC-only release. Bleszinski has said that it could come to consoles if they found a good partner to handle the port.
