LawBreakers Adding New Map, Mode, Character, And More In Closed Beta 2
LawBreakers Adding New Map, Mode, Character, And More In Closed Beta 2-April 2024
Apr 20, 2025 1:54 AM

A second closed beta for LawBreakers, the new arena shooter from Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski, has been announced, and it's coming soon.

The second closed beta starts Thursday, May 18, at 9 AM PT and runs until Sunday, May 21, at 9 PM PT, developer Boss Key announced on the game's website (via DualShockers).

This second beta will feature a new character, Wraith, who is a "cyber-ninja" who can triple-jump and wall jump. Wraith can also stab people with an exploding knife and slow down time, so that's cool.

The new map for the second LawBreakers closed beta is Reactor, while the new mode is Blitzball. The beta also includes a spectator mode and the ability to create custom matches. What's more, additional customization items are in the beta, along with "kick" decals for everyone who participates.

There are also bug fixes and various gameplay updates in the new beta. In a video message, Boss Key stressed that this second beta is "not a marketing beta," and in fact. Boss Key is hoping to gather player feedback and tweak the game accordingly in the future.

There is no NDA on this LawBreakers closed beta, so everyone who gets in is free to stream and share their content. You can sign up for the closed beta here on the LawBreakers website.

For more on the game, which is confirmed only for PC (but console editions are possible), check out GameSpot's interview with Bleszinski below.
