Remind me never to ask open-ended questions again. Out of the hundreds of responses I received to last week's Twitch poll, the only question that was easy to tabulate and get results on was the last one - Duke vs. Lara.

　　Thanks to everyone who responded. Twitch received more letters for this poll than the last two combined.

　　And now the results: I've listed the top five answers in each category - with some honorable mentions. And remember that this poll is all in good fun - and hardly exactingly scientific.

　　FAVORITE BEVERAGECoke wins the day with a whopping 18 percent of the vote.

　　Dr. Pepper comes in second with 12 percent.

　　Alcoholic beverages tied Dr. Pepper at 12 percent.

　　Mountain Dew was close behind with 11 percent.

　　Pepsi ended up with 10 percent.

　　Tea, juice, water, and milkshakes were also frequently named. And for some reason, nearly everyone who named an alcoholic beverage was a Guinness drinker.

　　FAVORITE CHARACTERCloud from FF7 was the most popular with 9 percent.

　　Lara Croft was close with 6.5 percent.

　　And Nintendo icons Mario, Link, and James Bond all tied at 5 percent.

　　Pac-Man, Sephiroth, and PaRappa all got honorable mentions.

　　FAVORITE GAMEFinal Fantasy VII was the clear winner with a huge 29 percent.

　　GoldenEye followed with 8 percent.

　　Super Mario Bros. tied Resident Evil 2 at 6 percent.

　　And Chrono Trigger finished up at 3 percent.

　　Duke Nukem and Quake 2 get honorable mentions.
