TOKYO--Konami has announced in Japan that it will end the first stages of beta testing for its PlayStation 2 online puzzle game Pop'n Taisen Puzzle-dama Online on September 5. The second stage of the game's beta will begin on September 24 using an upgraded client.
Pop'n Taisen Puzzle-dama Online is available as a free download and is playable through the Konami channel in Japan's PlayStation BB services.
In the game, the player must erase puzzle pieces that fall from the top of the screen by controlling them and then setting them into rows of three.
Pop'n Taisen Puzzle-dama Online also adopts the mascot characters from the Pop'n music game series, popular in Japan and Asia.
