On Thursday, 989 Studios announced that Kawasaki championship personal-watercraft racers will compete in the Jet Moto 3 Videogame Challenge, an event the company is hosting. The event will take place in Chicago and will be a precursor to the 1999 International Jet Sports Boating Association (IJSBA) national tour which begins that day.
"We are very excited to have the opportunity to host the Jet Moto 3 Videogame Challenge with Kawasaki and its pro riders," said Jeffrey Fox, vice president of marketing for 989 Studios. "There's no doubt that Kawasaki Pros have what it takes on a personal watercraft; but we'll see if they have what it takes on a Jet Moto 3 jet hover bike. With Jet Moto 3's advanced gameplay mechanics, these guys are definitely in for a daring new experience."
The 989 Studios Jet Moto 3 Videogame Challenge takes place on Saturday, July 31, in Chicago, IL. Jet Moto 3 for the PlayStation will release in September.
