Interplay has today announced that it is once again joining forces with White Wolf, having secured the rights to develop interactive games based on the company's Exalted franchise. The two companies previously collaborated on Hunter: The Reckoning for Xbox and GameCube.
"We are very happy to be partnering with Interplay again," said Mike Tinney, president of White Wolf. "Interplay is a proven industry leader, and we are confident that they will create a gameplay experience that both novice gamers and hardcore fans will enjoy."
Exalted is currently White Wolf's second largest franchise. Today's agreement grants Interplay exclusive rights to develop, publish and distribute interactive entertainment games based on the characters and fiction from the popular pen and paper fantasy RPG and the unique art style of the Age of Sorrow universe on which it is based.
"White Wolf's entertainment properties include some of the most widely recognized role-playing adventures in the world," said Jim Molitor, vice president of product development for Interplay. "We recognize the enormous following of this franchise and look forward to bringing our gaming expertise to the Exalted license. We have secured the newest offering from White Wolf, which does extremely well from a popularity standpoint. The premise and richness of the Exalted property make it uniquely suited for translation onto the next-generation video game systems."
