CDV has announced that Imperium Galactica III is now scheduled for release in Q2 2003. The new release date is expected to provide enough time to add a multiplayer mode to the large-scale space strategy game. CDV has hired Mithis Games to help Philos Studios add the multiplayer and finish the game. Mithis was founded earlier this year by developers who had left Philos Studios, and the new studio is currently working on a WWII game called Midway .
