On Tuesday, id informed GameSpot News that a patch to fix problems in Quake II v3.12 would be coming soon. Well, this morning the crew at id delivered the goods.
Just days after the highly anticipated Point Release v3.12 was released (last Friday), gamers on the Web started complaining about Quake II dedicated server crashes. That problem and a few smaller bugs were quickly fixed by id, and today id released two patches to the public - one for gamers who have already downloaded the v3.12 patch, and one for those who haven't.
The v3.12-to-v3.13 patch is significantly smaller because it doesn't contain all the deathmatch levels and other features that the large v3.12 patch provided. If you didn't upgrade to the v3.12, download the larger full v3.13 patch.
So download, install, play, and have some fun.
