Hulu's WeWork Documentary Gets First Trailer
Hulu's WeWork Documentary Gets First Trailer-April 2024
Apr 20, 2025 10:26 AM

Hulu has released a foreboding trailer for the upcoming documentary WeWork: Or the Making and Breaking of a $47 Billion Unicorn. As the title makes very clear, the film is a feature documentary "that explores the rise and fall of one of the biggest corporate flameouts and venture capitalist bubbles in recent years." It's due to hit the streaming service on April 2.

WeWork is a real estate company that provides flexible shared workspaces for tech startups and services for other enterprises, and to director and executive producer Jed Rothstein, its story is synonymous with its co-founder, Adam Neumann. Neumann is described in the official synopsis as a "hippie-messianic leader… that sent the little co-working venture sky-rocketing into unicorn investment territory." The film bills itself as an investigation of "what was really going on behind the scenes." Check out the trailer below.

In addition to Rothstein, the film is co-executive produced by Rebecca Evans and Ross Girard from Campfire, Tim Lee, Michael Cho and Mimi Rode from Olive Hill, Travis Collins, Kyle Kramer, and Randall Lane from Forbes, and Danni Mynard.

The documentary recently premiered at the SXSW Film Festival, and has already received a review from IndieWire. IndieWire speculates that the film offers some decent insights into how the startup was able to endure its PR nightmares, but may overly focus on Neumann to give those theories greater context.

Check out what else is coming to Hulu in April 2021.
