HoopWorld has landed on nothing but the Net. The Xbox 360 Live Arcade game will be available for download in spring, but gamers can get courtside seats for details at the game's official Web site. HoopWorld is a three-on-three arcade sports title that takes its roots in basketball. Players are rewarded for showboating and pulling off tricks in team-based play. There are eight eclectic characters to choose from, including a Native American chief, a goth/punk girl, a south-of-the-border bandito, and a robot. The game, which according to the site will cost 1,200 Xbox Marketplace points ($15), is being developed by Streamline Studios, a company based out of Amsterdam.
