IO Interactive's World of Assassination storyline will come to an end when Hitman 3 releases this Wednesday, January 20, on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Epic). It'll release on Nintendo Switch at a later date. The game is also coming with PlayStation VR support, and you'll be able to play the entire World of Assassination trilogy in VR, though it seems like this special mode will only be available for PSVR. No PC VR options have been announced. Finally, there will be physical editions available at launch for the game--including discounts at Amazon and Walmart--so if you prefer physical disc versions of your games, you're in luck.
Hitman 3 promises to once again take players all over the world to pull off assassinations in the most ridiculous of ways, and some of the levels already look as exciting as the first two games' fantastic stages. The first Hitman 3 level trailer focused on Dartmoor, an old manor that is the crime scene of a murder. The house is inhabited by a family with a dark past, and you're not entirely sure whodunit--it definitely seems inspired by old detective movies. The trailer shows the illustrious dining room, halls, and secrets that you'll likely use to navigate the mysterious house. Other screenshots have shown Agent 47 standing on top of a huge skyscraper and inside of a beautiful, elegant building that is definitely full of rich criminals (aka your targets).

Now Playing: Hitman 3 Review
Our Hitman 3 review is live now--the game received a 9/10 for its excellent level design, smart twists on the formula, and other improvements. "What's good about Hitman--its level design and the creativity, experimentation, and exploration that affords--is great in Hitman 3," wrote editor Phil Hornshaw. "It closes out the trilogy by brilliantly playing off everything that came before it, making use of and then subverting expectations, and rewarding players for their willingness to master the complexity of both its individual levels and the series as a whole."
If you play Hitman 3 on PS5, you'll be able to experience Hitman 3's use of the DualSense controller. The game makes use of the DualSense's adaptive triggers to create an "authentic sensation," with automatic weapons having a simulated recoil and unique haptic feedback profiles for every other firearm in the game.
Those who own Hitman and Hitman 2 will also have the opportunity to play levels from those games in Hitman 3 for free by downloading an Access Pass, and this works across console generations--Hitman 2 owners will be able to download the Hitman 2 Access Pass DLC in Hitman 3 for both PS4 and PS5, for example. While PlayStation and Xbox owners will be able to take advantage of this right away, IO Interactive is "continuing to work on a solution" for PC, but it promises PC players will eventually be able to import locations from Hitman 1 and 2 at no cost.
