Heat.net CEO Resigns
Heat.net CEO Resigns-April 2024
Apr 29, 2025 11:21 PM

A posting on SegaSoft's Heat.net site indicates that the president and CEO of SegaSoft, Gary Griffiths, has resigned - citing undisclosed personal reasons for his departure. In the meantime, Andre Oberholzer, the company's CFO, will serve as interim CEO until a new CEO can be found.

Griffiths announced his intention to leave the company Wednesday and said that he had complete faith in the company's future. Known as Crazy Gary to Heat.net players, Griffiths earned his title in the Quake and Quake II areas by giving out various prizes and degrees for multiple reasons. Griffiths came to the company during its incorporation back in late 1995 when he joined as COO. He rose to the rank of president in 1996 and CEO in 1997. Sega says that Griffiths' departure will have no effect on the company's operations.
