The trailer for FBoy Island has been released. The new HBO Max dating show is hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser and starts streaming on July 29.
The show takes the tropical island setting of reality dating shows such as Bachelor in Paradise or the UK hit Love Island, and puts an investigative spin on it. Three young ladies are looking for love, and are presented with 24 musclebound, swim short-clad potential suitors. But to complicate matters, not all the men are there with the same intentions.
There are 12 nice guys who are also hoping for a meaningful romantic encounters and 12 "FBoys" (you can probably guess what the F stands for), who are only there to break hearts and claim the $10,000 cash prize. The girls have to figures out who the true gentlemen are and hope that they don't end up with a money-grabbing player. FBoy Island looks set to deliver all the drama, romance, backbiting, and slo-mo party scenes that you'd expect from this sort of thing--check the trailer out below:
FBoy Island isn't the only dating-show-with-a-twist heading to streaming this month. The bizarre sounding Sexy Beasts hits Netflix on July 21. This series sees singles transformed into strange-looking animals and mythical beasts via extravagant prosthetic make-up, resulting in some of weirdest blind dates you'll ever see.
