When it's released, tentatively in 1999, it will be the latest entry in the resource-management sim category of PC games. And if it has more ups and downs than your usual resource-management sim, that's just the way Hasbro Interactive wants it. It's new game is titled RollerCoaster Tycoon.
Chris Sawyer, who designed Transport Tycoon, is lending his talent to this amusement park simulation, where a heavy emphasis falls on the design of the park's roller coaster attractions. Hasbro says the game's tools will allow users to "re-create virtually any real-life roller coaster." The game will also allow users to construct non-roller coaster rides, shops, and stalls, for that full amusement park feeling.
