For many players, one of the most outstanding aspects of PixelJunk Eden was its trippy, stripped-down visuals and accompanying music. Both were the work of Baiyon, a Kyoto-based artist who had previously never worked in games. An avid gamer himself, Baiyon worked with Q-Games to create Eden and its upcoming expansion, Eden Encore. We chatted to Baiyon at this year's Game Developers Conference and asked him about his work as an artist, how he first got involved with Q-Games, what his next project will be, and whether he thinks games can be considered as art.
