GBA Video approved for Europe-April 2024
Apr 20, 2025 8:30 AM

Majesco today announced that it has secured approval to release its Game Boy Advance Video products in Europe. Scheduled to debut later this year, GBA Video technology will allow GBA owners to view around 45 minutes of quality color video using a standard Nintendo-manufactured cartridge. It was recently announced that a number of Nickelodeon cartoons will be among the first titles released for GBA Video, and Majesco has also stated that it hopes to make 90 minutes of video available on similar cartridges in the future.

"We're thrilled to bring our proprietary video technology to the European marketplace," said Jesse Sutton, president and CEO of Majesco. "Europeans possess a similar enthusiasm for video entertainment, [just] as Americans, as well as an appetite for exciting technology. We believe the portability and technological allure of this exciting product will be well received in Europe. Accordingly, here in the United States, we believe this announcement opens a potentially significant revenue opportunity for our European division and expands our excitement regarding this tremendous technology."
