GameSpot and AOL today announced a new strategic alliance that will give AOL members access to GameSpot's editorial and broadband game content. In addition to reviews, screenshots, gameplay movies, hints, cheats, and tips, AOL members will also receive access to select content from the GameSpot Complete premium service.
AOL Games currently features a schedule of original broadband programs--including First Tip, Players Club, Inside the Game, and First Play--that have been designed to bring PC and console gaming to a wider audience. "Adding the depth and quality of GameSpot's content now gives us an offering that can appeal to everyone, from serious gamers to the casual fan," said Matthew Bromberg, AOL Games' vice president and general manager.
Vince Broady, founder of GameSpot and senior vice president of CNET Networks, agreed. "AOL's gaming community is the perfect complement to GameSpot's audience on the Web. We're excited to extend the reach and influence of our comprehensive, top-quality games content to the broadest possible audience."
