On the heels of last week's news that the Game Boy Player will be bundled with new GameCube consoles in North America starting June 23, Nintendo of Europe has today confirmed that it will release the Game Boy Player in Europe on June 20. The peripheral, which allows players to experience their Game Boy games on a TV screen via their GameCube console, will be bundled with GameCube consoles selling for around 199 euros and will also be available to purchase separately for approximately 60 euros.
According to today's press release, the Game Boy Player will be compatible with virtually all Game Boy games, whether released for the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, or Game Boy Advance. The press release also makes mention of an exclusive Game Boy Player offer for members of Nintendo Europe's official Web site, but no further details are available at this time.
