Week 8 saw Gambit Gaming make some unexpected roster changes that not everyone agreed with. Diamond was benched to sub alongside Darien and replaced with Loulex and Kubon. It appears in week 9 we will see the resurface of Diamond, as the team has promoted him back to Jungler of the starting lineup for LCS:
Kubon, Diamond, niQ, Genja and Edward will represent Gambit Gaming at the remaining three stages of LCS EU Summer. Our management believes that Diamond has benefited from a two-week-long break: he had a chance to dedicate extra time to his mechanical skills, as well as to rethink his attitude towards playing in a team. We will inform you of our long-term plans in the beginning of August. We realize that our chances to advance to playoffs are slim, therefore we will try to perform decently in the remaining eight games.
Recently Riot Games informed the community about potential changes in the LCS structure, such as increasing the amount of teams from eight to ten. Many believe that it will decrease the difficulty of qualifying to the next split. Regardless, we do not intend to relax, since the final decision regarding the amount of teams is yet to be made. Going forward our main goal is to prepare for the qualifiers. First of all, we will finalize our roster, and afterwards will commit to practicing.
