Last year, Frogger Returns hopped onto the WiiWare and PlayStation Network downloadable game services. Today, Konami's favorite frog crossed the console-handheld divide as if it were a six-lane superhighway, headlining Nintendo's downloadable new releases with its DSiWare debut.

　　Remember kids: Cross at the green, not in between. A 3D reimagining of the arcade original, Frogger Returns includes a variety of new levels, enemies, and power-ups across four stages of lily pad leaping action. Those looking to pick up the Konami mascot's latest outing will need to part with 500 DSi points ($5).

　　The DSiWare service is receiving a few more games this week, starting with Looksley's Line Up from Nintendo (500 DSi points, or $5). An all-ages take on the hidden-object genre, Looksley has players guiding a rabbit safely through a variety of fairy tales, with players moving the DSi system around to change their views of 3D dioramas.

　　Rounding out the service's new offerings is a pair of 200 DSi point ($2) offerings. Tecmo Koei's A Topsy Turvy Life: Turvy Drops is a puzzle game that has players holding the system upside down to draw falling blocks on the touch screen, while Electronic Arts' Flips: More Bloody Horowitz is another in the Flips line of scary stories with interactive aspects.

　　Nintendo didn't overlook the Wii this week, as it included two new WiiWare games and an extra retro offering for its flagship console. Today's update featured Bit.Trip Runner for WiiWare at a price of 800 Wii points ($8). The fourth installment in the minimalist Bit.Trip series, Runner sees players jump, slide, spring, and kick their way through obstacle courses in control of the constantly sprinting Commander Video. WiiWare is also getting Coresoft's World War II turret shooter Blood Beach for 1,000 Wii points ($10).

　　The last new title for the week is Kirby Super Star on the Virtual Console. Originally released on the Super Nintendo in 1996, Kirby Super Star is a collection of minigames and 2D platformer games that once again pit the pink puffball against the nefarious King Dedede. As with other Super Nintendo Virtual Console games, Kirby Super Star sells for 800 Wii points ($8).
