Buka Entertainment has today announced that it has signed a software agreement with the World Wildlife Fund (Russia) to publish and distribute Save Leopards. The game, which has been developed by Nikita for the WWF, is designed to raise public awareness of the world's dwindling leopard population.
There are currently only 100,000 or leopards left on the earth, and as a result of hunting, that number is continuing to fall at an alarming rate. In Save Leopards, players will be presented with a certain amount of money with which to care for a population of 30 leopards in the Far East and attempt to increase their number to 100 within 30 years. How players will go about achieving this goal isn't clear at this time, but we do know that they'll have the option to spend their funds in a variety of ways, including fighting forest fires and establishing reserves.
No release date has been confirmed for Save Leopards at this time, but we'll bring you more information on the game as it becomes available.
