Fnatic has recently announced a sponsorship deal with AVAST Software, producers of the popular antivirus suite. This brings Fnatic's partners count up to six, including the likes of Taiwan's Micro-Star International and Danish peripherals manufacturer SteelSeries.
AVAST, headquartered in the Czech Republic, currently leads the worldwide antivirus market with a 17.4% market share. The Fnatic partnership is their first-ever entry into the esports scene.
Said Ondrej Vlcek, AVAST Chief Operating Officer:
We are extremely excited to be partnering with FNATIC. This partnership goes beyond just sponsoring a team in the rapidly growing e-sports field. FNATIC will be collaborating with us on future products too. We’re thrilled to have such a prominent and well-loved team as our first partner in this area.
