Inland Productions, developer of THQ's WCW Nitro for the Sony PlayStation, is currently hard at work on a Nintendo 64 version of the game slated for a late '98 release. Here's a first look at screens from the upcoming title.
The game is said to include all the features of the original, along with faster gameplay, new wrestlers, more arenas (24 in all), improved graphics, and a four-player mode similar to the Battle Royal of THQ's WCW Vs. NWO: World Tour (the game's highly comedic saving grace).
Also, WCW Nitro for the N64 will carry the same whopping number of playable characters as before, though this time those unlocked will include more of the actual WCW wrestlers than joke players (such as Santa Claws, Superfan, and Dudeman).
In related Inland news, the company is also producing Bass Masters Classic for the PC and PlayStation, which is expected in May and June respectively.
