As the new football season approaches, EA Sports has announced that FIFA 09 will be in UK shops from October 3. UK trade magazine MCV broke the news, and we spoke to EA Sports, who confirmed the release date. The PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Nintendo DS, Wii, PSP, and mobile versions will all be released on the same day. The publication also quotes EA senior product manager Trevor Uzice as saying that there are more than 250 improvements from the previous game, including a 20-player online mode and an arcade mode built specifically for the Wii.
