Eidos Interactive has announced that Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix for the PlayStation will ship on February 21. The game should be available this week at retailers nationwide. The prequel to the original Fear Effect game follows four lead characters who must save mankind from a mysterious threat originating within human DNA.
"The Kronos team has dedicated itself to creating an incredibly impressive addition to the Fear Effect franchise," said Sean Amann, marketing director for Eidos Interactive. "Fear Effect 2 provides gamers with a seamless gameplay experience, balancing intense action, engrossing storyline, gorgeous anime-style characters, and challenging puzzles."
Like the original, Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix was developed by Kronos Digital.
