Interplay's RPG division, Black Isle Studios has shipped Fallout 2. The sequel to the award winning, Fallout, Fallout 2 still takes place in the same engaging post-apocalyptic role-playing environment. But Fallout 2 ships with features and additions that original Fallout players asked for, including: improved combat AI, more NPC interaction along with more weapons and guests to make the game even more expansive (with 100 percent more game area and no time limitations).

　　"Our main goal was to combine the experience that everybody liked in the first game with new features that everyone has been clamoring for," said Feargus Urquhart, Black Isle Studios division director and co-lead designer on Fallout 2.

　　In Fallout 2, you become the Chosen One, a direct descendant of the main character (the Vault Dweller) from Fallout. You have been chosen by the elders to don a sacred vault suit and someday take the seat as leader of the community. To begin, you must prove your devotion to your people by finding the legendary Vault 13 where a technology to help the tribe survive lies hidden.

　　Fallout 2 for Windows 95/98 should show up on retailers' shelves nationwide on Thursday, October 29.
