Fake Xbox Series X Images Used In CES Press Conference, Admits AMD [UPDATE]-April 2024
Apr 19, 2025 11:19 AM

UPDATE: A spokesperson for AMD told The Verge that the Xbox Series X images that were used during the company's CES press conference are not accurate. The assets reportedly came from Turbosquid.com, and not Microsoft. As such, we still don't know what the back of the Xbox Series X looks like, nor what ports it's equipped with. "The Xbox Series X imagery used during the AMD CES press conference was not sourced from Microsoft and does not accurately represent the design or features of the upcoming console," a spokesperson for AMD said. "They were taken from TurboSquid.com." Our original story is below.

AMD's CES 2020 briefing from Las Vegas kicked off with a fresh look at Microsoft's next-generation console, Xbox Series X. In a sizzle reel, the back of the console was shown for the first time, and it reveals some key--but unsurprising--details about the system.
