Empire Earth II conquers retail
Empire Earth II conquers retail-April 2024
Apr 20, 2025 10:13 AM

Vivendi Universal Games today announced that Empire Earth II is now available for the PC. The game was developed by Mad Doc Software, the studio in Lawrence, Massachusetts, which previously worked on the Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna expansion pack.

Empire Earth II is a civilization-building real-time strategy title that spans more than 12,000 years. Starting with the primitive tools of the Stone Age, gamers will quest for dominance against other developing empires. About 12,000 simulated years later, players will have advanced technology at their fingertips to bully around other civilizations. More than 500 unique units can be employed, from simple spear-chuckers to giant sentient robotic machines.

The game isn't just about nuking your neighbors, though. Prudent gamers will benefit from making strategic alliances and efficiently managing resources. Dynamic weather also comes into play, such as limited visibility in sandstorms.

The game's first patch, which updates the game to version 1.05, is now available on GameSpot DLX.

Empire Earth II is rated T for Teen and retails for $49.99. For more information on the game, head over to GameSpot's previous coverage, or check back tomorrow for the full review.
