Eidos announced on Monday that it has entered into an agreement with Enix to publish Dragon Warrior Monsters - Terry's Wonderland on the Game Boy. This will be the company's first title published for the Game Boy system.
"We are delighted to be working with a studio of the caliber of Enix," said Mike McGarvey, chief operating officer of Eidos Interactive. "Dragon Warrior Monsters has been a huge success in Japan, and Eidos looks forward to bringing the phenomenon to the rest of the world."
Dragon Quest Monsters (the game's Japanese title) is the first Dragon Quest (one of the most popular game series in Japan) title for the Game Boy. "Dragon Warrior Monsters has sold over 2.2 million pieces here in Japan since first released last year," said Yoshinobu Chida, senior managing director of Enix and producer of the Dragon Quest franchise. "We are very excited to have a chance to introduce such a big title to a world-wide audience through Eidos Interactive, which is one of the best software publishers in the Western world."
