Having already successfully published a deer-hunting game, EA Sports has turned to hunting other animals. Ultimate Hunt Challenge is an upgrade of last year's Deer Hunt Challenge, but it also includes a bonus turkey-hunting game, a pheasant-hunting game, and a skeet-shooting game.
Ultimate Hunt Challenge, in addition to providing the traditional track and hunt mode of gameplay, will offer a "challenge mode" that dispenses with the tracking and begins a game right as you spot your prey. The gameplay thus consists of making snap decisions to bag your prey, rather than having to relentlessly stalk it before you can start shooting.
Other features of the game include rookie-to-hunter difficulty settings; a variety of weapons including shotgun, rifle, and bow; first- and third-person view; and Internet support for cooperative hunts with human companions. Look for the game to ship later next month.
