DreamHack reveals their new studio-April 2024

On the outskirts of Sweden's capital, a monster of a project has been brewing in the industrial suburb known as Västberga. But unlike its grey surroundings, the world of esports will be on the receiving end of one of the world's first completely esports/gaming-dedicated broadcasting studios, and today DreamHack's Thomar Hermansson, as well as Christian Lord gave members of the Swedish esports press a tour of the entire facility together with Simon Sundén from MTGx, who will help send the broadcast in a number of different languages.

The walkthrough of the studio, and the general Q&A offered by the three went on for roughly two hours, and in the span of this time they delegated the following information:

DreamHack are intending to rack up their production from 19 days a year, to 120 in the shape of tournaments as well as talkshows.

Will use the studio as the broadcasting hub for all DreamHack related tournaments aside from the DH Open stops, as well as DreamHack Winter and Summer. This is mostly for the domestic Esports-SM league.

The studio is equipped with two sets which means that every single broadcast will be able to be broadcasted in both Swedish and English.

Not all games DreamHack intends to run, aside from Dota 2 and CS:GO have been revealed.

Aim to use the studio to produce more than esports-related content, and will look to produce both talkshows, individual recordings featuring gaming personalities, as well as game launches.Aside from this, the trio revealed that they have taken their main inspiration in terms of setting from the already established brands in Korea and will aim to have two sets of bleachers between the players who will participate in the upcoming CS:GO tournament on Friday, in order to have the fans of each team on the side of their team's players. DreamHack are however still aiming to produce a unique atmosphere for the in-house tournaments they are going to broadcast, and will experiment with set-ups for both teams and audiences.

In short, the studio looks to become one of the focal points of DreamHack's operation in 2014 alongside the regular DreamHack Open circuit, which this year will visit Russia for the first time, as well as the regular stops in both Spain as well as Romania.
