Save for there being no money in it, I halfway considered myself a professional MotoGP 2 player a couple years ago. I certainly put the time in, playing nightly for hours at a time much to the consternation of my wife. Hell, even after the game had gotten boring--after I'd maxed out my rider attributes, could whip the Legend AI blindfolded, and had reached the summit of my abilities online--I still found ways to have fun with it via XBox Live whether by staging impromptu jousting matches or avoiding "the guillotine" (a nickname for my friend Erik's propensity to drop his front tire on the back of the head of any rider in front of him).
So to say the least I'm quite excited about the next game in the series, MotoGP 3. Today's preview takes a look at the all-new extreme mode; I'm quite sure a number of fictional tracks in this mode are going to become fan favorites online when the game is released in August. That gives me about nearly a month to get the my chops back up. Gotta avoid that guillotine, after all...
