Disney is doing some major shifting of upcoming movie release dates, including most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films. After release delays for Black Widow, Mulan, and others--along with production stoppages for Shang-Chi, The Little Mermaid, and Home Alone--Disney is rethinking its upcoming releases.
Due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic shutting down theaters while the United States and the rest of the world practices social distancing, Disney is making some major shifts for movie releases, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Black Widow, originally arriving on May 1, has been moved into November 6. Because this was the original release date for Eternals, all of the upcoming MCU movies have been shifted, eventually leading to Captain Marvel 2 being reassigned to a July 8, 2022 release date.

The same changes are happening at Disney, along with other Disney studios like 20th Century and Searchlight. The most notable movie getting a new release date is Mulan, which was originally to be released on March 27 of this year. Now, the live-action remake will be arriving on July 24. These scheduling changes are also affecting movies that are pretty far out from releasing. The upcoming Indiana Jones film was eyed for a July 2021 release, but it is now coming on July 29, 2022.
Below, you'll find all of Disney release date changes for the next two years.
While many films in the past couple of months have seen delays, those same movies are now getting new release dates. The upcoming horror revamp Candyman was releasing in June, but now has a September 25 theater debut.
