CompLexity drops out of WCG China, announces the release of Neil 'pr0lly' Hammad-April 2024
Apr 16, 2025 5:19 AM

This article was originally published on GameSpot's sister site onGamers.com, which was dedicated to esports coverage.

Confirming what Neil 'pr0lly' Hammad had posted four days ago, compLexity announced the official release of their midlaner today.

The statement on compLexity's website stated, "Today compLexity League of Legends is announcing the formal release of Neil "PR0LLY" Hammad. We'd like to thank Neil for his hard work during his time with us and wish him the very best in the future."

Hammad had originally announced that he was a free agent on November 23rd through Twitter, although no reason for the departure was given by either party.

--free agent. oh lord only 2 weeks before lcs lets see what's gonna happen!

In conjunction with this news, compLexity has surprisingly withdrawn from the WCG China event, which is slated to start tomorrow.

"Additionally, due to our recent roster overhaul, we regret to announce that we are unable to attend WCG China. Our sincere apologies to WCG for these circumstances."

CompLexity has been a strong performer in the NACL this off season, accruing a 17-5 record in the Ancient Golem conference. However, by not going to WCG China, they miss out on critical international exposure, something the North American scene desperately needs. Overall, compLexity are considered a strong contender for the LCS Spring Promotion Tournament.
