Codemasters has announced the creation of the Codemasters Multiplayer Network, an online gaming service that will be compatible with games across several platforms. Using the service, PC players will be able to compete online against Sony PlayStation 2 and Microsoft Xbox players. The online gaming service will also include other features such as the ability to compete against other players in ongoing competitions, the ability to vote on whether other players are cheating or using unfair tactics, and automatic updates whenever new players enter the network.

　　"The creation of the Codemasters Multiplayer Network, in addition to our future game development, is a clear signal of our commitment to this exciting form of gaming, which will be a key feature in upcoming next-generation consoles," said Mike Hayes, worldwide director of marketing and sales for Codemasters. "With the CMN's cross-platform feature, we are able to link even more gamers together, thus elevating the experience to a whole new level of enjoyment."
