Castlevania: Lords of Shadow hit shelves just two weeks ago behind generally favorable reviews. Now, it appears a sequel is not only going to happen, but Spanish developer Mercury Steam is already at work on it. Gabriel might have another adventure to embark upon.

　　The news stems from a loose-lipped Mercury Steam sound designer who told a Spanish radio station (via Eurogamer’s Spanish arm) that fans should look forward to a sequel to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.

　　"If you liked the first [game], hope that the second is even more spectacular," Mercury Steam composer Oscar Araujo said on the Catalunya Radio program recently.

　　No official word from publisher Konami or Mercury Steam has been made concerning a Lords of Shadow sequel thus far. However, Konami told GameSpot "We do not comment on speculation or rumors. We hope everyone is enjoying Castlevania: Lords of Shadow."

　　In other Castlevania news, Konami today unleashed a Lords of Shadow game for Facebook. Dubbed Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Friend Challenge and built in-house by Konami, the title lets players create a character and pledge allegiance to either the Lords of Shadow or Brotherhood of Light. Players can then recruit friends and duke it out on the virtual arena.
