Games and music find themselves bedfellows again this week. Just a day after Electronic Arts announced that rapper Xzibit would share cover duties on NFL Street 2 with Jeremy Shockey, and just two days after EA announced a joint venture with music publisher Cherry Lane, the publisher behind the upcoming title from Alex Seropian's Wideload studio announced its own hybrid arrangement that mingles music and games.
Calling the soundtrack and game an example of merging "multimedia platforms into a full entertainment experience," the game's publisher, Aspyr Media, leveraged its contacts within the music industry to assemble a lineup of 13 bands to contribute to the upcoming Stubbs the Zombie soundtrack.
The songs will be available only on the game soundtrack, says the publisher. The full list of bands and songs is a follows:
Ben Kweller "Lollipop"
The Raveonettes "My Boyfriend's Back"
Death Cab for Cutie "Earth Angel"
