After a brief delay, the new single-player demo for the sci-fi shooter Breed is now available for download. It was originally slated for release over a month ago, but last-minute technical tweaks delayed its release. The demo features more polished gameplay and graphics and includes one partial mission from the final game.
Developed by UK studio Brat Designs, Breed is set in the midst of a war between humanity and a hostile race of aliens known only as (you guessed it) "The Breed." Like the upcoming Halo 2, the game features a full-blown military invasion of Earth, with all the ancillary carnage and explosions. GameSpot's preview has more data on the CDV-published title.
Available only for the PC, Breed is scheduled for a January 2004 release at a price point of $49.99 retail.
