New York-based Atari, Inc. today named board member James Caparro as its CEO. Infogrames cofounder Bruno Bonnell had held the title previously. Caparro is a two-year veteran of the Atari board of directors. He has held positions at Warner Music Group, Universal Music, and PolyGram. Reportedly, Caparro will oversee the game publisher's global operations, with Bonnell focusing on Atari's game library, its creative talent, and technology. Bonnell remains Atari's chairman and chief creative officer.
