Microsoft today announced the release of Blinx 2: Masters of Time & Space for the Xbox. The sequel to 2002's Blinx: The Time Sweeper sees the fate of time itself in the paws of a player-created kitty. Gamers will jump back and forth between a crew of cats known as the Time Sweepers and a party of pigs known as the Tom Tom Gang as they both attempt to grab the remains of a shattered time crystal.
The cats can control time in a number of ways, including fast-forwarding, pausing, rewinding, and recording, and the pigs can alter space by opening up black holes or portals. Gamers will have to use all the powers at their disposal to solve puzzles, defeat baddies, and acquire the all-important time crystals.
The game also features two-player cooperative play in the story mode and a four-player multiplayer mode. The cooperative mode throws more challenges and different puzzles at the players, requiring the team to utilize teamwork and strategy. The multiplayer mode features single or team-based deathmatch options between teams of cats and pigs on select multiplayer maps.
Blinx 2: Masters of Time & Space is rated E and is priced at $39.99. A complete rundown of the game can be found in GameSpot's full review.
