At the Interactive Achievement Awards in February, BioWare's two resident M.D.'s, Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk, will be inducted into the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences' Hall of Fame. However, those two executives won't be the only ones with ties to EA to be honored at the event.

　　Bing Gordon Today, the AIAS announced that Bing Gordon will be the fifth recipient of its Lifetime Achievement Award. Gordon, who is currently a partner at venture capitalist firm Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers, will join the prestigious ranks of such industry luminaries as Doug Lowenstein, Howard Lincoln, Minoru Arakawa, and Ken Kutaragi.

　　Gordon made his mark in the gaming industry at EA beginning in 1982, the year the company was founded. Operating first in the nascent publisher's marketing department, Gordon progressed his way to chief creative officer, helping launch the EA Sports label and being the progenitor of a number of advertising practices that are still in use within the industry today, according to the AIAS.

　　Now a venture capitalist, Gordon continues to work within the gaming industry as he spearheads Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers' game-industry funding. Companies that have received funding under Gordon's direction include social kingpins Zynga and ng:moco.

　　Gordon will be presented his award by Microsoft president of Interactive Entertainment Business Don Mattrick as part of the 14th annual IAA, set for February 10 at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas. As in previous years, the ceremony will be part of the D.I.C.E. Summit.
