BBC Multimedia has today announced that a game based on its innovative FightBox TV show will be released for the PC, PlayStation 2, and Game Boy Advance in Europe on February 6. The game is currently in development at BBC Multimedia's Gamezlab development studio, which created the software used in the TV show.
"FightBox is unique. There's nothing like it on television, and it also represents a unique gaming concept," said Dave Lee, BBC Worldwide's director of multimedia. "We hope that these products will not only enhance the experience for fans of the TV show but also entertain the wider, growing gaming community."
In the FightBox TV show, members of the public are invited to pit their own computer-generated warriors against one another in a variety of arena-based challenges. The game will feature some of the best FightBox warriors from the first televised tournament, as well as the BBC's own "Sentient" characters.
We'll bring you more information on the FightBox game as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime, you can find out more about the TV show by checking out the official BBC Web site.
