Aussie game charts: September 14-20
Aussie game charts: September 14-20-April 2024
Apr 21, 2025 4:35 PM

Last week saw the release of The Beatles: Rock Band, and while the software sold well enough to take three places at the bottom of the overall Australian sales chart, this week The Fab Four have been jostled out by Activision’s rival rhythm franchise. Guitar Hero 5 software rocketed up the charts to take out the fourth and fifth spots on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms, while the GH5 Wii bundle scooped up ninth place during the week of September 14-20.

Nintendo has maintained its vice-like grip on the overall national sales charts securing first and second places with Wii Fit and Wii Sports Resort, while the often strong performing Wii Play Bundle was demoted to eighth. Newcomer Need for Speed: Shift, the latest instalment in the long-running racing franchise, burnt rubber off the line in its debut week on the PlayStation 3 in third place, while its Xbox 360 version had to be content with 10th overall.
