Three months after its release alongside the WiiWare service in the US, the popular flash game turned WiiWare title Defend Your Castle is finally coming down under. Defend Your Castle is a simple strategy game where you assign various soldiers to your castle's guard tower and watch them fight off an onslaught of enemies. As the levels progress, the enemies get stronger and their numbers increase. If strategy isn't your thing and you consider yourself more of a gunslinger, then Wild West Guns might please your appetite. The game is an arcade shooter where you point the Wii Remote at your target and pull the trigger. Wild West Guns also supports two-player co-op and online leaderboards. Defend Your Castle will set you back 500 Wii points, while Wild West Guns is a bit pricier at 1,000 Wii points.

　　Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved was one of the first great Xbox Live Arcade titles, so it came as no surprise when a sequel was announced during Microsoft's E3 2008 press conference. For those unfamiliar with the first game, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 is a multidirectional shooter, where you steer your ship with the analog sticks and it continually shoots for you. You take your vessel through levels where you fight wave upon wave of enemies until they kill you or the level ends. One of the biggest editions to GWRE2 is geoms, which allow you to increase your multiplier even higher than before. Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 is now available for purchase on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 800 Microsoft points.

　　Following up from Elefunk last week on the PlayStation Network Store is PixelJunk Eden. This is the third game in the PixelJunk series on the PlayStation 3, and it's set in a garden. You play as a grimp, and your job is to swing around the garden collecting pollen and growing it until you reach the top of the level. PJE is one of the first games to support the PlayStation trophy system and it also allows users to directly upload their gameplay videos onto YouTube. The full game is up on the PSN now for A$12.95. If you're not too sure about it, there's also a demo available to download for free.
