As has become the fashion for Nintendo 3DS details, the company overnight announced launch titles for just about every region, except Australia. Thankfully, Nintendo Australia has quickly followed its international counterparts by confirming release titles for the new gadget's first day on sale Down Under.
Compared to offerings in other territories, Australia's 3DS lineup looks quite slim. Nintendo has confirmed that the only two games that will be available when it launches on March 31 will be Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition and Nintendogs + Cats. GameSpot AU spoke with various Australian publishers and can confirm that Pro Evolution Soccer 3D, Ridge Racer 3D, and LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars will also be launching alongside the stereoscopic hardware.
When pushed for details on Ubisoft's launch titles, the publisher remained coy, saying that the company's titles would release "a week before, or after" the console's street date. These games include: Rayman 3D, Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars, Asphalt 3D, Raving Rabbids: Travel in Time, and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 3D.
Nintendo Australia has also announced that first-party 3DS software will be available from A$69.95.
At the time of publication, EA was unable to confirm whether The Sims 3 would join the launch party, while Sega's Super Monkey Ball 3D was also missing in action. Stay tuned to GameSpot AU for more details on these releases as information becomes available.
