Criterion Software and ATI Technologies announced the availability of Criterion's 3D-motorcycle racer, Redline Racer for ATI's Set-top-Wonder II.
So far, ATI's device is only a reference design for other companies to pick up and develop. With solid support from game developers, however, the likelihood that hardware manufacturers might incorporate the idea increases significantly
ATI will be showing Redline Racer on the Set-top-Wonder II at NAB99 in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the PixStream booth in the Sands Expo Centre until April 22.
"ATI's Set-top-Wonder II provides the advanced 3D features needed by game developers producing today's leading-edge 3D games," said Alfonse Licata, group product manager for ATI. "We're excited to see Criterion take advantage of these state-of-the-art 3D features."
Redline Racer is the Set-top-Wonder II's first title.
