The Electronic Entertainment Expo may be approaching, but that doesn't mean that these few weeks will be filled with nothing but new game announcements.
Helming this week is the action game Hunted: The Demon's Forge. The fantasy-themed adventure enables players to play the role of either swordsmaster Caddoc or ranged expert E'lara as they fight a horde of beasts and demons in overgrown ruins and dungeons, either through solo or co-op mode. Gamers will also get to create and share their own dungeons via the in-game editor called The Crucible. The game will be out on the PC and Xbox 360 tomorrow. The PS3 version of the game will be out this Thursday.
Players who aren't sick of fighting games on newfangled portables can look forward to playing BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II on the 3DS and PSP. This version of the acclaimed 2D fighting game will contain the most recent rebalancing of characters in the roster and three additional characters (Makoto, Valkenhayn, and Platinum) with varied fighting styles. Fighting game fans will also get to play the new Abyss mode, where they have to fight through hundreds of battles and accumulate points, with each fight getting progressively difficult as they head deeper into the abyss. The game will be out tomorrow.
Finally, the HD version of No More Heroes will be on local shelves this week. The PS3 iteration, subtitled Heroes' Paradise, features Japanese voice acting, high-definition graphics, and five extra bosses from No More Heroes 2 for protagonist Travis Touchdown to fight against. The action game also has a "score attack" mode, where players re-fight the game's 15 bosses to get the best score possible.
