Role-playing gamers will be making the trek to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, this week for the 32nd Annual Gen Con Fair to see the latest and greatest in the world of computer, card, and paper gaming. Among the games to be shown will be Microsoft's upcoming massively multiplayer fantasy RPG, Asheron's Call, which has been in closed beta testing since April.
If you can't make it to Gen Con, the MSN Gaming Zone will host an online discussion with the development team at 5:30 pm CDT on Friday August 6. During Gen Con, the Asheron's Call team will update its official web site with information and photos from the show floor. On Saturday, August 7, at 4:00pm CDT, gamers are encouraged to stop by the Microsoft booth dressed as their favorite monster or adventurer from the land of Asheron. The best-dressed fan will win a life-size model of one of the game's most ferocious monsters. Also on Saturday, at 2:30pm CDT, attendees can meet Spirits of the Wind and Dezra's Quest author Chris Pierson who will be signing collectable posters of the Isle of Dereth. Pierson, the fantasy author, has done most of the back story scripting for Asheron's Call.
