Sierra Studios and Troika Games have announced a beta test of their upcoming role-playing game Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura. Arcanum is set in a fantasy world populated with humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, and other races. At the dawn of the mechanical age, the conflict between technology and magic grows heated. It is in this world where players begin their adventures.
The initial round of beta testing will include the first 20 percent of the content found in the single-player game. Enrollment in the beta test will begin on Tuesday, September 26. Hundreds of testers will be selected according to a variety of criteria, including system specifications, previous game experience, and communication skills.
