In a world where EA has wrapped up the NFL license for the next half-decade, could this be a glimpse of the future of pro football games?

According to the game's web site, Maximum-Football developers Wintervalley Software created the Canadian Football League- and CFLPA-licensed CFL Football '99. Their newest venture, however, carries no such license and will instead ship at least three leagues (one U.S., one Canadian, and one indoor) along with a roster of fictional teams for each league.
As of now, Maximum-Football has no official release date. Take a good look, however. For better or worse, you just may be looking at what the future holds in store for non-EA football titles.
